During March, ERP once again delivered 93 bicycles to Madikwe under the #Bikes4ERP programme. SAP Corporate Social Responsibility and Keld and Tannia Ebbesen from EPI-USE Denmark sponsored this delivery. The drop adds to the fleet of bicycles that we have continuously delivered to the Barokologadi Community Property Association (BCPA) beneficiaries as part of our long-term partnership with them. The bicycles aid students who stay a long distance away from school to travel to and from school more efficiently and timeously, thereby ensuring that they do not miss classes.
The #BIKES4ERP programme continues with a few challenges aside from the usual punctures that the appointed mechanics can deal with timeously. In recent weeks, Eric, one of the mechanics, managed to get a helping hand from some of the youth within the community, as they offered to assist with repairing the bicycles. We commend this worthy gesture, which shows that beneficiaries from the wider community appreciate the deployment of these bikes and are willing to assist where they can.
