ERP recently attended to an emergency at one of our safe havens where a rhino was injured and had difficulty in walking. Upon arrival, our anti-poaching units realized that the rhino was bleeding, and required immediate attention in order to save it from further pain caused by the potentially fatal injuries. Guided by our mission to alleviate poverty through conserving elephants and rhinos, we immediately made funds available to assist with the assessment of the wound and treatment of this rhino in order to save its life. Because of our swift emergency reaction, our team of vets and experts concluded that there were no life threatening injuries and that the rhino would recover soon. Our ERP team will continue to closely monitor the rhino, as he starts his journey to full recovery.
