Recycling Cooperative In The Blouberg Region

Our recycling cooperative in the Blouberg region of Limpopo managed to secure new markets for their plastic materials, which gave them a boost in income during the month of May. In addition, the cooperative recently planted new vegetables including onions, carrots, beetroot, spinach and beans as part of their ‘food for waste’ programme which aims to promote nutrition and a balanced diet among waste collectors. The provision of such opportunities is but one way ERP addresses the socio-economic circumstances prevailing in communities adjacent to our land and conservation interventions.
