As a result of the Covid-19 lockdowns, and risks associated with conducting classes within a classroom environment, the Vaalwater Centre has also gone virtual, and is currently conducting Information Technology - End User Computing training until June 2021. The training sessions are taking place at the Kagiso and Maboneng Labs, thanks to Africas Got Game and Forge Academy. At present, this programme is benefiting 40 students, whilst also providing a viable business model for the sustainability of the IT Centre at Vaalwater. We are grateful for CSI funding received from Barloworld and iLAB, which, through our partners at Got Game, will be utilized to implement more online IT related programmes, through the Centre, in the months to come.
